After reading about my work in the Naperville Sun, this couple reached out with a thoughtful vision for their future. They wanted a home where they could age comfortably, with everything they'd need on the first floor—but they also wanted the space and flexibility a second story provides. The site's natural slope became the key to making the first floor work beautifully. By working with the topography, we designed a home that brings abundant natural light deep into the home by taking full advantage of the grade. The result is an open floor plan with warm craftsman details on the first floor where they'll spend most of their time, plus additional space upstairs for guests, hobbies, or visiting family (especially grandkids!). A home that feels spacious, light-filled, and perfectly suited to the decades ahead.
